Why doesn’t salt water erode limestone?

Everything will dissolve into water up to a certain point, known as the “saturation point.” Hotter water will have a higher saturation point, in other words, it can hold more before being saturated. Limestone will dissolve into fresh water because the fresh water has not reached its saturation point. Similarly limestone will not dissolve into salt water because the salt water HAS reached its saturation point for limestone.
