Why does food taste so different right after you brush your teeth?

    Two chemicals put in toothpaste to make it foam, sodium laureth sulfate and sodium lauryl sulfate, make your tongue perceive sweetness less and bitterness more.

    Pretty much, they make everything taste more bitter.
