Why does it snow more at lower elevations the further north you get?

    It snows more at higher elevations because it is further away from the earths main source of heat, its magma core (yes the core heats up the earth more so than the sun because the sun only warms up the outer layer or crust, while the core heats up every layer of the world from the inside out.
