      In part, because they DO do a lot for the environment. Their slogan RE less than C (renewable energy cheaper than coal) allocates a lot of money to environmental projects. Google has a lot of money to play around with, and they are in the news a lot anyway, which is why you hear about them so much. Their sheer size and resources available to them mostly outweighs environmental contributions other companies can give. However, we shouldn’t discount their contributions; there are many companies entirely devoted to environmental progress, though they aren’t as large as Google.
