Why does Alabama have such a bad reputation in the U.S. when it has one of the most biologically diverse regions, the Cahaba River?

    Possibly because a state’s social reputation usually has little to do with its biodiversity. If you mean a bad reputation in terms of caring for the environment, I’m not sure.
