Why do whitetail deer do so well in the mid west?

    There have been strong conservation efforts in the Midwest to make the white-tailed deer common. The white tailed deer is also the state animal for Arkansas, Illinois, Mississippi, New Hampshire, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan, South Carolina, and Wisconsin.

    Another reason is there lack of enough natural predators. In Yellowstone National Park, experts released Wolves in order to create an equilibrium in the ecosystem because the Deer were eating so much of the natural greens surrounding water bodies deforestation was becoming a problem.
