Bird eggs are the most abundant eggs that we eat in North America because of their abundance due to our farming of poultry. Other animal’s eggs are commonly eaten in many other countries. Fish eggs are widely consumed throughout the world. Many cultures also harvest and consume reptile eggs (turtles, iguanas). It is not a common North American diet, however there are masses of people on Earth, and they require masses of food to survive. If people eat insects as delicacies, imagine how far diets will stretch when there is not an abundance of meat, veggies, fruit, etc… We are very fortunate to be living in North America where we can purchase everything we need to survive down the street.
