Why do US firms lag European competitors on climate change?

Issues of climate change are decided by a countries government, not by its corporations and firms. European governments impose harsher and tighter controls on environmental pollution produced by firms in their territories compared to the American government. If you are wondering why America’s government lags behind Europe’s in terms of combating climate change, it’s because corporations have a tremendous influence on politics in America. With the recent United Way court ruling, corporations can pour as much money as they want into American politics and influence the way Americans vote through dis-information and lies. In the end, Americans end up voting in politicians who are friendly to those corporations.
