Actually, tornadoes do not hop! They can be sucked or pulled back up into the clouds and pushed back down to the surface of the earth. Also, tornadoes can have multiple vortexes within the tornado itself, affecting the direction and area of destruction.
Actually, tornadoes don’t really hop. They can pull back up into the clouds and come back down sometime later, but this usually occurs over a fairly large distance. Some people believe they hop over one house and destroy the next if they see a house unharmed. But the reason the house is not harmed is because of the structure of the house, or that it did not get hit by the actual vortex of the tornado (just the surrounding winds).
