Why do Tea Party Republicans want to abolish the EPA?

According to most lawmakers of the Tea Party, the EPA inhibits a great deal of industry to occur on American soil.  The Tea Party’s plan would be to scratch some laws under the current plan and start over to allow for protection of the environment and development of manufacturing and industry as well.  To build any government-funded project (dams, buildings, etc), a massive study must be done by the EPA in order to access the amount of damage that would be done to the surrounding wildlife.  If too much environmental damage is predicted by the project, the EPA will then prohibit the project from being builit.  The Tea Party’s plan would call for a new system of investigation that would be cheaper and call for new manufacturing models that adhere to the sustainability of the environment.
