The rain forest is one of the oldest ecosystems and that is the reason why it carries so many animals and plants. The reason why is has so many plants is because the amount of rain fall the rain forests gets to support the plants.

The amount of life in a rainforest has mainly to do with its climate.  Because it is so warm and humid, a wide range of species can survive very comfortably.  Additionally, there are multiple levels within this one ecosystem.  From the bottom swampy areas to the breezy tops of trees, there are several niches for animals and plants to fill.
