A polar bear’s fur is actually clear, not white. It only appears white, because their fur is usually reflecting the light, which makes it bright.
This fur coloring also helps the bear to blend in with their surroundings. Most polar bears lives in snowy regions, so blending in with snow helps them blend while they are hunting.
