Although I think that allowing children excessive consumption of candy (and high-sugared products) will be detrimental to their health, I don’t believe it will make them criminals.
Yeah, as near as I can tell from the study there’s a weak correlation between daily-candy kids and future criminals. This doesn’t mean candy causes criminality though. For example, if kids who ate candy daily because they grew up in troubled homes with poor adult supervision, they would be candy-eaters who became criminals, but both are a result of poor home life. Correlation does not mean causation.
