Why do people that grow up near nature know how to survive in it?

They have practice! Growing up spending a lot of time in nature allows someone to learn about the practical realities of survival in that environment. It’s also likely they learned from others living in the area and benefited from their knowledge and skills. But just because someone didn’t grow up spending a lot of time in nature doesn’t mean they can’ learn more about it and develop those same skills!
