Baby fat can refer to two different groups: kids/teens who have yet to grow out of the fat left from their childhood, and recent moms who gained weight from their pregnancy. For kids/teens who have baby fat, they usually grow out of it with age. For new moms, they have leftover fat from their pregnancy. This is normal because women gain a lot of weight during pregnancy, but still have a few pounds left after the baby is born. This is called baby fat as well.
