Why do new movements usually start with the college age people?

College age people have a tendency to be younger and more liberal. As you grow older, you tend to push back less and grow more complacent with your plot in life. When you’re a child, you’re usually filled with whimsy and fantasy but lack the resources to do anything. College age, with the coming adulthood, is a perfect medium in between. Over time, idealism has to conform to some sort of reality but college aged individuals are at the perfect age to see the world in a new way, or how it should be, and act accordingly.

College students still haven’t got stuck in their ways. The thought of trying something new and supporting a new cause is of interest of individuals who have not spent years working and being stressed out.
