Shaking isn’t listed as a typical side effect of magnesium citrate. However, make sure you are taking the supplement properly. Be sure to take with fluids and food. If you take any other drugs, wait at least two hours before taking magnesium citrate. And don’t take it if you have long-term constipation, kidney disease, heart problems or a history of anal fissures.
