Why do fish like when the tide is high?

High tide allows more fish to enter into shallow tidal zones, near nutrient rich reefs along the shore. Small fish and animals hide out in tidal pools during low tide. However, when the tide comes in, the water can fill these tidal zones with as much as 2 feet of water, allowing larger predatory fish to come inland and feast on small fish and animals.
