Why do farm raised salmon have lighter colored meat than wild caught salmon?

Farm raised salmon, because their living conditions require them to be closer together than wild salmon, are necessarily given more antibiotics.  This causes their flesh to turn an unappetizing gray color.  To compensate, they are fed salmon colored dyes to make the product more appealing.
