I’m assuming you’re referring to the incident back in the Fall of 2010. If so, the toddler chairs violated federal limits on lead. One chair at Target was found to have lead at 70 times the legal limit. It’s as simple as that: lead-tainted products.
It was far more than just toddler chairs that were tainted with too much lead – bean bag chairs, foam beads, and boxing gloves were also pulled.
