Leonardo DiCaprio donated $1 million to the World Wildlife Fund for tiger conservation. He believes that if we don’t act now, tigers may become extinct. Only 3200 tigers exist in the following 13 countries: Bangladesh, Bhutan, Burma, Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Nepal, Russia, Thailand and Vietnam.

DiCaprio joined officials from these countries to commit to doubling the tiger population by 2022.

“By saving tigers, we also protect natural forests remaining, and improve living standards for indigenous people.” – Leonardo DiCaprio
