Only one form of GM crop is allowed in the EU. The two crops which weren’t able to pass with a majority vote were GM maize BT-11 developed by Syngenta and maize 1507 developed by Dow Agro Sciences.
These two GM crops were engineered to withstand a pesticide which has been voted down due to its possible effects on human health, this is the probable reason these two crops didn’t receive enough votes to be allowed. The only GM crop allowed in the EU is a maize called Mon810.
Oh, of COURSE the only one they allowed was Mon810. That’s a Monsanto product. Monsanto won’t let anyone alone. They’re a dangerous company.
