Why did the bears kill eachother in the zoo?

The male bear that killed the female recently in the zoo in Germany killed her for reasons currently unknown by zookeepers. Bears will often experience certain moods, much like we do. They can also have personal space issues. When a bear’s space is invaded (which we see often times when humans are attacked), they’ll either bluff, force the invader out of their space, or attack the invader. It could have been that the male was already in a bad mood when the female invaded his space, and a combination of ill-tempers could have resulted in him killing her.
