Why couldn’t the Gonacon be put into a salt lick in the areas with in city limits where the deer are living? Seems a whole lot safer than some sharpshooter going around shooting them.

    GonaCon cannot be used yet because it has not been approved by the Environmental Protection Agency. Though it went through the hands of the USDA, authority on the issue was given to the EPA a couple years ago. The EPA has not approved use of the drug nor have they released the expected “restricted access” regulations. If GonaCon was made available, other issues would need to be addressed such as how to administer shots to wild animals such as deer.
