Why is Chicago’s Bridgeport neighborhood having so many bird problems?

According to the City of Chicago Street and Sanitation Department, the problem is not new – it exists every year. When the birds migrate, they congregate in clumps of trees to look for food.

Some residents claim that it is due to recent inoculations to some trees against the Emerald Ash Borer, but officials disagree.
