Why is the Center for Biological Diversity suing California’s State Water Resources Control Board?

The Center for Biological Diversity, along with the Northern California River Watch and Coast Action Group filed lawsuit in 2009 against the California State Water Resources Control Board.  This Board had authorized a change in water flow and water pumping near Medicino and Sonoma counties for vineyards, which caused harm to endangered species of salmon.  The Endangered Species Act protects these types of fish who require the same freshwater to survive.
