Why can you run diesel cars on biofuel but not regular gas engines?

You can, and in fact Ethyl Alcogol, the same alcohol that comes from natural fermentation is often used to boost the octane of gas. However, ethanol burns hotter than normal fuel, and can cause wear and tear to accumulate much faster, so the engines will wear out, while diesel engines use a different system, and are therefore more forgiving.

    I hope this helped
