Traditionally, electric vehicles have had to sacrifice some amount of performance and range for increased efficiency. Fully electric vehicles face problems of energy storage, refueling, weaker acceleration and torque. (This of course is changing as the technology improves.) Aston Martin is probably betting on fuel cell technology as a solution so it has to make fewer of those sacrifices. Since it’s known as being a luxury vehicle manufacturer, its consumers likely value performance more highly than fuel economy.
