Tin cans used to be much more difficult to recycle because the tin had to be removed before the steel could be processed. With a decrease in the amount of tin used, the steel can now be recycled directly. There is now quite a large interest in collecting and recycling tin cans. Check with your local municipality to see if you can recycle them, and if not, check out Earth911.com to find where you can recycle them.
