Why aren’t all fruits sweet?

Fruits are designed to appeal to the creature that is either pollinating or dispersing the plants offspring. After all, not even all humans like the same foods! A good example of this is the Rafflesia arnoldii. Flowers usually smell sweet, but not this one! It smells like rotten meat to attract flys to pollinate it!
