Why are vitamin bottles so difficult to recycle?

    Prescription medication bottles are typically made of plastics that are, in general, recyclable, but the plastics are hardened to a more brittle form, making them harder to melt. Thus, they require different temperatures to recycle than other plastics of the same kind.
