Why are there so many seals by the San Francisco wharf?

No one really knows what attracted the sea lions to Pier 39 in San Francisco, but they do make it hospitable for them. In response to increased population that frequent the area, the harbor authorities have deployed additional floating docks for sea lions to bask on. With a comfortable place to lie in the sun and the gentle rise and fall of these docks to lull them, it’s really a question of ‘why not’? 🙂
