Why are soy products so good for the environment?

Soy products aren’t inherently so good for the environment but many people consider what the alternatives are for soy and determine that soy is a better option. For those who drink soy milk, they often argue that it is just as nutritious if not more nutritious than milk, yet they don’t have to deal with many farms who give their cows dangerous growth hormones or cruel treatment to get milk. We have vast overproduction of corn in our country and many products have used soy protein as a substitute because corn production has started to greatly impact the environment. The problem is, too much soy production is a bad thing as well. Soy production is starting to resemble corn production. A better solution is reduction of use and conservation.
