Why are some vegetables so much more expensive than others?

    There are a few different factors that contribute to the price of vegetables. These factors include if the vegetables are in season, where they are grown, if they are organic or not, and whether or not there are tariffs on those kinds of imports or subsidies (for instance, corn is very cheap in the United States, because it is subsidized). Some vegetables are difficult to grow in certain places so that makes them more expensive.
