Why are some beaches different colors?

    The color of the sand at the beach is determined by the mineral that the sand comes from. Most sand comes from quartz (or silica). White beaches have sand that consists of limestone. Dark sand is derived from magnetite or volcanic materials, like basalts.

    Also sea water near beach is caused by the microrganism that live in it, and it is caused by many variables, as temperature, location, disolved salts, pollution…
    There are some beaches that you saw 30 years ago as blue coloured, but today is black, brown, etc by pollution
