Why are scientists saying sea levels could rise faster than previously predicted?

Its because of global warming. As the Earth’s temperature rises, more and more glaciers and different ice forms are melting leading to a rise in the sea level. Levels that were predicted to take hundreds or even thousands of years are going to only take maybe a hundred years, which is quite scary and is why making any and all efforts to reduce carbon emissions should be made.
