Why are mountain goats so good at climbing?

Mountain goats have feet that are well suited to climbing steep, rocky slopes. They have cloven hooves that can spread apart as needed, with inner pads that keep them from slipping by providing traction. They have dewclaws on the backs of their feet that also keep them from slipping.
