Mosquitoes are attracted to the smells of certain people. If a person is rarely bitten, then his or her body gives off a smell that masks the scent that attracts mosquitoes.
People with a higher level of cholesterol, steroids, and other acids in their blood are more attractive to mosquitoes. Mosquitoes are also attracted to dark clothing, carbon dioxide, body odors, perfume, beer, and even limburger cheese. So whether or not mosquitoes are attracted to you is based on the way you smell and the composition of your blood.
