Why are Hawaii’s beaches shrinking?

60-80% of the Beaches are consistently receding in Hawaii. This happens naturally in a very slow process. New beaches are created as waves rise higher.

However, Anthropomorphic climate change has increased the rate at which the beaches are disappearing. Glaciers and Ice Shelfs crashing into the ocean and melting are causing the world’s oceans to rise. When a beach is filled with luxury hotels and fancy houses sea walls are created to keep their property dry. It prevents the beaches from being created further inland and the sand erodes away.
