Hamburgs are very bad for the environment due to the livestock production behind enjoying that sandwich. There are thousands of parent meat in a single hamburger and those thousands of animals create a lot of pollution in the atmosphere. They are an emission source for methane and also create other dangers to our natural resources through the production chain, like water an land resources. On top of that there are issues in the waste or the animal and the parts that are left over after production not to mention the emissions from the actual production source.

Some of the problems with cattle production lie in the practices of the huge feedlots that produce them.  Some of the waste management issues can be addressed by using local free range beef that is grass fed and not produced with antibiotics or growth hormones.
