Why are fog nets a good way to gather water?

Fog nets work well as water collectors because they are designed to collect up to 600 gallons on an ideal day, in areas which receive high volumes of fog. The way that the mesh is thickly woven is the key attribute which allows these nets to collect such massive amounts of water in a day.
