I’m assuming you mean the method of packaging furniture and other large objects as flat as possible. In that case, flat pack is a good idea because it reduces the volume occupied by the packaging. This in turn reduces shipping costs and the amount of fuel required in shipping.
Flatpack furniture come in creative and unique due to its requirements. Designers such as David Graas have created aethetically pleasing pieces to fit the needs of today’s homes. Not only do they provide the benefits of consolidated packaging, many of the flatpack furniture is made to be strong as well.
