Why are the females bigger for largemouth bass?

They are bigger due to the fact that they must carry a large amount of eggs. Eggs make up 10% or more of the females body weight prior to spawning. Hope this helps!

Also, it has been bred into them by natural selection, as a female generally carries 4000 eggs per pound of body weight. Since males will choose the females with the most eggs, bigger females have progpagated.

    I hope this helped!
