The body structure of an elephants makes for great swimming function. The elephant uses all four legs to swim, helping it to move quite quickly, especially for its size. It’s size, particularly the bulk of its body, is advantageous because it helps keep the elephant afloat. The elephants keep its mouth below the water and uses its trunk like a snorkel. All of these things help make the elephant a good swimmer.
