Earthworm feces provide plant nutrient and minerals to the soil. Their burrowing activities are also good for agriculture.
Many homes use worm bins to make compost from organic wastes; there are also ways to produce worm compost (aka vermicompost) for large-scale activities. Not only is it good for the soil but it is good for keeping biodegradable wastes out of landfills.
