Why are Colombia’s indigenous groups at risk of extinction?

  1. 0 Votes

28 indigenous groups in Columbia are at risk of disappearing because of attacks from guerilla groups and paramilitaries. Some of the groups have less than 100 members in them due to lack of access to food and water, sexual abuse and torture, and kidnapping. 114 men, women, and children were killed in 2009 in addition to the thousands that were forced to abandon their homes.
