why are bobcats endangered

  1. 0 Votes

The Mexican bobcat is frequently killed by farmers, since they fear they will attack their sheep. They are also threatened by poachers who want to sell their fur. Of course, they also have habitat destruction on top of those things, and the combination of everythiing has caused their decline.

The IUCN Red List lists bobcats as a species of least concern. However, they are threatened by the fur trade and habitat loss.
