Why are the blue fun tuna populations at such a higher risk than the other tuna populations?

The Bluefin Tuna population is in danger of becoming extinct due to its overfishing. It is highly prized for food and sport. First, it is argued to be the world’s most valuable fish. As its average length is 6.5 ft and weight 550 lbs, it is a large fish that can feed many. The fact that it’s tasty only increases its value. This type of tuna is also valued for sport. It is very fast and quite strong, making it a challenge to catch. This entices fishermen to hunt this particular species above other types of tuna.
