Ed Begley Jr. is the greenest celebrity in my opinion. He has his own show Living with Ned where he promotes sustainable living.

There are so many celebrities that are working together to bring awareness to the green movement. Pierce Brosnan focuses on “marine mammal and wetland protection, headlined Natural Resources Defense Council campaign against effects of Navy sonar on whales, awarded 1997 Green Cross International Environmental Leadership Award”

Actresses like Cameron Diaz and Gwyneth Paltrow partnered in Act Green who works to unite people to “conserve energy and reduce our reliance on oil.”

Political figures like Al Gore have made their mark on society with environmental issues. He created the documentary “An Inconvenient Truth” to show people the real facts about global warming.

    Brad Pitt created makeitright9.org

Leonardo DiCaprio as working on many environmental issues and he also created a film called “The 11th Hour” n eco-documentary that he co-produced, wrote and narrated — about the human impact on the environment.

Unfortunately, we don’t know the answer to this question.  While celebrities can go out and start organizations or voice their opinion on a particular issue, we don’t know how they live every day and what their real feelings are.  Plus, some mega-celebrities EXPEND so much energy: Surely they fly more than we do, they often own more than one enormous home, and “big budget action movies” are “big budget” for a reason (there’s a lot of waste).

I agree that Ed Begley, Jr. is the greenest celebrity.  I remember specifically wanting to watch an Oprah that featured him and his lifestyle, and having to watch him over a webcam because he refused to fly.  What an amazing example to set for the rest of the celebrities out there who flaunt a green persona!

I wholeheartedly agree with the above posts that say Ed Begley Jr. is the greenest celebrity.  There have been specials about him and his living style that are very inspiring.  He powers a lot of his house by bicycle, and plants his own food.  He also collects rainwater for various uses.  He basically rides his bike everywhere ans is very environmentally conscious.

Leonadro Dicaprio was one of the first celebrities to speak out on environmental issues.  He has received a ton of awards for his green initiatives.  Dicaprio has also been involved in the production of several short films and documentaries.  To see a full list of his environmental accomplishments, see the link below.
