Who was the first person to study stars and their movement?

We don’t know who the very first person was, as many ancient civilizations kept records of the stars, but it looks like the Chinese were the first to record (1300 BC), followed by the Babylonians (700 BC) and then the Greeks (600 BC). Even the famous astronomers you hear about today like Ptolemy did not live until centuries later.

The Egyptians and Greek were among the first to explore astronomy, but the first to discover that the Earth revolved over the Sun, that was determined by following the stars.
